New Zealand Cricket’s role is to support and provide direction for the game of cricket within New Zealand. In conjunction with its Major and District Cricket Associations, New Zealand Cricket through its national development programme intends to provide advice, guidance and funding to assist clubs and secondary schools, to continually improve their management, membership services and organisation of cricket.
New Zealand Cricket’s ‘Club Assist: Health Check’ is based on the SPORT NZ [formerly SPARC & formerly the Hillary Commission] ‘SportsMark’ document and has been developed to help clubs continually improve their management and membership services. It is a model checklist for club management to assess their current policies, procedures and performance. It provides examples of best practice opportunities which will enable cricket clubs to develop themselves and improve their operations and the services they offer.
